Inspired by the subtle sensibility long cherished in Japanese culture — from the waka poetry of Ono no Komachi, written in longing for a loved one, to Matsuo Bashō's gaze that discovered beauty in a single leaf — this project creates moments of sonic stillness: a space to softly return to simply being oneself.
日本人が古くから大切にしてきた繊細な感性、 愛する人を想う小野小町の和歌、 一枚の葉に美を見いだした松尾芭蕉のまなざしからインスピレーションを受け、 「ただ在る自分」にそっと還っていくための "音の間" をひらくプロジェクトです。
Created by YUKI-M and Canadian composer Simon Carpentier, whose work includes music for twelve Cirque du Soleil productions and numerous international projects.
